About the Junior-Am

About this event at SentryWorld

Join us as we host this American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event featuring 72 of the top junior girls in the world.

This stroke-play event has been held annually since 1992, changing host venues each year. After hosting a successful U.S. Girls' Junior Championship in 2019, we’re excited to once again shine a spotlight on talented junior golfers and our world-class golf course in Stevens Point!

Planning to attend? Check out the frequently asked questions below to prepare for the event.

No. Spectators can attend for free.

Tee times off holes No. 1 and No. 10 begin daily between 8–9:50 a.m. Play will likely wrap up by 3 p.m. each day.

Yes, there is free parking in the SentryWorld parking lot.

You can purchase snacks and non-alcoholic beverages from the refreshment stations on the course. The Library Café and PJ’s restaurant will be open with normal business hours.

No, the course will be closed from June 13–19 to accommodate this event.

The competitor list will be published and updated by the AJGA. Visit their website to see the updated field as it forms.

Know before you go

Spectators can attend for free and walk our championship course while watching the action.

We want this to be a positive experience for these young competitors. As a spectator, we expect you to behave in a supportive—not distracting—manner. In addition to silencing your cellphones and staying on cart paths or in the rough, here are a few other spectator guidelines to keep in mind before you go.

  • Cash or credit card if you wish to purchase food and beverages on-site

About the Junior-Am

This event will also feature a fundraising Junior-Am—allowing sponsors and competitors to play SentryWorld prior to the event. This year, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Athletics and the Liberty National ACE Grant will be the benefiting charities.

Junior-Am sponsors can:

  • Play with one of the top junior competitors

  • Report their payment as tax deductible

  • Utilize our refreshment stations during their round

  • Attend a reception after Junior-Am play concludes
